Hello! My name is Cinnamon Machaj. I am a Chicago-based graphic designer. I graduated from Triton College with my Associates of Art: Graphic Design. I then attended Northeastern Illinois University to pursue my BFA in Graphic Design, graduating in May of 2026.
Currently my work is predominantly in the medium of photography, but I would like to shift my focus into the area of typography and creative work dealing with advertisement. I've worked with companies such as the Chicago Design Archive and the Hyde Park Art Center to create both digital and physical work. My end goal is to have a full-time career working with a balanced combination of typography and photography.

In my graphic design work thus far, I have learned to take a step back when I feel like my pieces are getting too cluttered. I have learned that sometimes simplicity is the best way to achieve a clean and more appealing product.
As a designer, my main values lie within the use of clean forms and minimalistic work. I do not wish to overcomplicate my art with extravagant frills or ornament. To me, art is meant to be seen and clearly understood. The audience should not have to think and should not be left guessing at the meaning behind a piece. The demand for self-discipline, creative thinking, and a deep commitment to my work is crucial for me in achieving simplicity.
